New Year, New Venue!
That’s right, 2024 is now upon us. The PGA tour kicked off its season in Hawaii a few weeks ago, the Waste(d) Management Phoenix Open was in peak form last weekend, and we’re headed to Cragun’s in May!
VENUE
We bid adieu to Madden’s and their $24 Old Fashioned, and say aloha! to a new venue for the 2024 Memorial Golf Tournament. We’re moving the show back to Cragun’s (where it belongs) on May 17-19, 2024, which is the weekend before Memorial Day.
LODGING
Lodging has been finalized for a 2-night stay, and we have 10 rooms blocked under the Bob Rudie Memorial Golf Tournament, which guarantees a room if booked before April 17. More rooms can be added to the block if needed. Golf and food are NOT included in the stay. This is lodging only. Please use this link to secure your room. With ours and other family cabins nearby, we have extra spillover space as needed for those wanting a 1-night option. Call/text/email as needed, guys.
GOLFING
For those golfing, we have 2 rounds of golf with 3 tee times each (12 golfers for now), starting on Friday @ 2:00 PM and Saturday @ 11:35 AM. Friday will be on the Legacy Dutch course (PGA TOUR Canada’s 2023 Tournament of the Year), and Saturday’s championship round will be on the new Lehman 18!
As the current reigning champion and trophy holder, it's bittersweet to defend it, but I will with the fury of a 36-year-old tired dad of two, so be prepared!
EXTRA
In addition to a room block for booking this year, we have also secured a hospitality/banquet room for the weekend. This will be a central place to gather throughout the weekend, and will also host one of the dinners here - likely a Friday night pizza party!
We of course will have a Champions Dinner on Saturday to present the winners of the tournament and share a fun evening with family and friends, to “socialize” as Dad would say :). See pictures from last year here.
As we shared at last year's dinner, we're hoping to expand this year to more friends and family who can make the weekend work. We’ll do our best to connect with you ahead of time in case of missed emails or blog posts.
