It’s a ‘Major’ week
It’s a Major week, in more ways than one!
Another major tournament in The PGA TOUR season is being played next weekend: May 16-19 at the PGA Championship in Kentucky, and we, the warriors playing on the AGA (Amateur Golf Association) will be competing in our one-and-only Major event of the season at Cragun’s Lehman 18 Legacy Course. It’s no coincidence that the PGA Championship is being played at Valhalla Golf Club, and we’re playing our AGA Championship at our version of Valhalla:
Valhalla, in Norse mythology, the hall of slain warriors, who live there blissfully under the leadership of their god. Valhalla is depicted as a splendid palace, roofed with shields, where the warriors feast daily and are made whole again each evening.
We have a lot of fun planned for the “warriors” of the weekend.
Here are the times/locations to remember:
FRIDAY - 5/17/24
CHECK-IN: 5:00 PM
11000 Craguns Drive,
Brainerd, Minnesota 56401
-Technically 5 PM, but we can arrive early to drop off bags, use the facility, gather, etc. Our room-block should have us all in the main lodge area.
-Sam & co are arriving early for lunch at the resort on Friday.
GOLF: 2:00pm, 2:10pm, and 2:20pm
- @ Legacy Dutch 18
- 3 x 3-man TEAMS will be assigned on-course
Each player hits a tee shot, selecting the "best" out of the bunch to play their second shot from. Repeat until the hole is finished. Each player’s drive must be used at least 2x per round.
DINNER: 7:30PM+
- @ Banquet Room in the lower level of the main lodge
- We will have pizza and sides available around 7:30 PM for everyone enjoying the Bob Rudie Memorial Weekend!
- DOOR PRIZES for those that make it

GOLF: 11:35am, 11:45am, and 11:55am
-@ Lehman 18
-Same teams as Friday
-On-course proxy holes:
Longest Putt with a “pickle”
Longest drive with a “wood”
Closest to the pin
Lowest score takes the Trophy!
NON-GOLF /Mid-Day:
-We’ll have a few activities lined up for the non-golf crowd
DINNER: 7:30PM+
-@ Irma’s Kitchen - we have a reservation for the Bob Rudie Memorial
-Golfing awards
-Final Trophy Presentation
-Socialize!
